All acoustic guitars have solid wood tops, come in solid or laminated backs and sides. Wood for both electric or acoustic include standbys like, maple, alder, mahogany, ash and basswood. Plus several exotic woods (depending on availability) like walnut, paduce, bubinga, koa, rosewood, spotted maple etc. Electric necks can be ordered with plain or figured (curly or birdseye) maple. Rosewood, ebony or maple fretboards. Acoustic tops come in sitka, European caldera sitka, and adinronda red spruce, or western cedar. The laminated sides are rosewood or sappelle, and a variety of solid woods. You can order name brand hardware, such as Seymour Duncan, emg or dimarzio pickups, Schaller or grover tuners etc..

I have recently enlisted the services of painter and “crackle” artist Richard Seymour to do some of my custom finishing jobs. I will have more on Richards work soon.
